To ski from your door, stay in Igls at the foot of the Patscherkofel, at Sporthotel Igls or Hotel Bon Alpina, or in Mutters, where Hotel Seppl runs a free shuttle to the Mutterer Alm. In the city, Hotel Sailer has ski buses stopping outside and breakfast from 06:00, and Hotel Maximilian has a ski room with a boot dryer.

Yes. The Nordkette is reached straight from the centre by the Hungerburgbahn and two cable cars, but its terrain is steep and suits strong skiers and freeriders, not beginners. For other areas, ski buses leave from the city, and they are free with a SKI plus CITY Pass when you also show the Welcome Card.
Igls sits at the foot of the Patscherkofel, a family friendly area with 20 km of pistes. Mutters is next to the Muttereralm, and Axams is the nearest village to the Axamer Lizum, which has 40 km of pistes and wide runs for all levels.
It is the regional pass for 12 ski areas around Innsbruck and in the Stubai valley, with 265 km of pistes, plus 23 city attractions. It includes ski buses and shuttles while it is valid.
With a SKI plus CITY Pass, the ski buses in the Innsbruck region are free, but you must also show the Welcome Card. Your accommodation gives it to you free for stays of at least two nights. At Hotel Gruberhof the Igls ski bus must be booked by 18:00 the day before.
Sporthotel Igls, Hotel Bon Alpina, Hotel Seppl and Hotel Sonnhof have indoor pools, and DER WALZL has a heated rooftop pool. In the city, Hotel Das Innsbruck's pool is open 24 hours and Hotel Grauer Bär has a heated rooftop pool.
