In Innsbruck
Staying in the old town means waking up in the car-free lanes around the Golden Roof, with the Hofburg, the Court Church and the Inn riverbank a few minutes on foot. The hotels here are old inns and town houses, some of them centuries old, and the Nordkette funicular leaves from the Congress station on the edge of the quarter. In winter the Christmas market under the Golden Roof runs from 13 November to 23 December 2026, right outside the door. In summer you can be on the Hafelekar in the morning and back for dinner on a terrace by the river. It suits couples, first-time visitors and anyone who wants to leave the car behind and do everything on foot.
