About Innsbruck Tickets & Stays

An independent guide to Innsbruck in winter and in summer: what to do, which tickets and tours are worth booking, and where to stay.

What this is

Innsbruck is two cities in one year. From November the old town fills with Christmas markets and the Nordkette and the Patscherkofel turn into ski mountains a tram ride from the centre; from May the same cable cars carry hikers, paragliders take off above the Stubai valley and the lakes open. This guide is written for both: every guide page has a winter version and a summer version, and the switch at the top of the page moves between them.

Hand-picked hotels, not a ranking

The hotel list is a curated 34: the old town, the city centre, Igls on the Patscherkofel, Hall in Tirol and the villages on the sunny terrace south of the city. Each page says what the hotel is like, who it suits in winter and in summer, and, where a primary source supports it, the catch. The order of a list is never a ranking.

Independent

Innsbruck Tickets & Stays is not connected with Innsbruck Tourismus, the Innsbruck Card, any lift company, attraction or hotel. Nobody can pay to be included or to change what is said about them.

How the site is paid for

Tickets and tours link to GetYourGuide, and hotel booking buttons to Expedia. Both pay this site a commission on completed bookings. The price you pay is theirs and is not changed by the link.
