Hotel Kögele is a family-run three-star hotel in Axams, a village on the sunny slopes west of Innsbruck. Regional buses leave Innsbruck's main station about every 15 minutes and stops at 'Axams Terminal Kögele', right in front of the hotel, so getting into the city without a car is easy. The Axamer Lizum ski area is about 8 km away, Kühtai 28 km and the Stubai Glacier 47 km.
Rooms range from singles and doubles, some with mountain views, to family rooms for up to five and an XXL suite of about 55 square metres for up to six. A gourmet breakfast with regional organic produce and home-made egg dishes is included. Skiers get a ski depot up at the Axamer Lizum and a drying room for boots and clothes, and the Kögele Lounge Bar opens in winter. In summer it is a qualified bike hotel with a repair stand, bike wash and overnight laundry for cycling kit. It suits skiers, cyclists, hikers and families.
