Stage 12 sits on Maria-Theresien-Strasse, Innsbruck's main pedestrian street, a few minutes' walk from the old town and the Golden Roof. Run by the Penz family, it is a contemporary city hotel with a lift straight down to the Rathausgalerien car park beneath it, so drivers can park and be in the lobby without crossing the street. The main station is about eight minutes away on foot.
Rooms come as doubles or twins, triples and family rooms that sleep four with a double bed and a bunk bed. Breakfast is served until 10:30 on weekdays and 11:00 at weekends, and there is a bar for the evening. Two saunas and a steam bath open from 16:00, a small gym from 7:00, and a sports room stores skis and bikes with a boot dryer. It suits families, skiers and business travellers who want comfort and the centre on the doorstep.
In winter
The Christmas market on Maria-Theresien-Strasse is right outside, and after skiing there is a boot dryer for the morning and two saunas and a steam bath for the evening.
In summer
Store bikes in the sports room, then walk to the Nordkette cable car, the old town and the Hofgarten in minutes.
