Der Walzl is a family-run hotel on the village street of Lans, on the sunny plateau above Innsbruck about 7 km from the centre. A local bus runs about every 20 minutes, and in winter a free ski bus stops in front of the building. The Lanser See, golf courses and hiking trails are close by, and the house was rebuilt in 2021 with 12 modern suites, a new bright restaurant and a big children's play area.
The highlight is on the roof: a heated infinity pool at 30 degrees with a view over the Tyrolean mountains, next to a panorama sauna. Below are Finnish, bio and hay saunas, an infrared cabin and a rest room with hanging loungers. Breakfast is a generous regional buffet, served in the garden in good weather, and the restaurant cooks at lunch and dinner. Rooms range from standard doubles to family rooms, suites for four and an apartment. It suits couples wanting a spa break and families who like space.
